Landing Light to be first single 27 January 2007 Landing Light will be the first single released from The Conway Story's forthcoming Album Adam & Eve. The single is scheduled for release on 23rd April. The Conway Story will play the London Barfly on Jan 8th (8.00 on stage) and The Dublin Castle on Jan 25th (9.15) The Conway Story to record debut album 27 May 2006 The Conway Story are set to record their debut album in August this year. Preproduction on the album, as yet untitled, is already underway and the band will head into the studio to begin sessions in late July. Tony Cartwright to manage The Conway Story 16 April 2006 Legendary music manager Tony Cartwright has teamed up with The Conway Story. Tony put together The Jimi Hendrix Experience and discovered The Carpenters. After a long career in the business, Tony rates The Conway Story "the most exciting new band I've seen in a decade" and says Nik Owens "will be the best singer/songwriter of his generation". New Tour Dates Announced 10 May 2005 The Conway Story will be touring the country once again throughtout May and June to promote their new single Ghostwriter which will be released through IRL on 13th June. Check the gigs page for dates. IRL to release next single 07 April 2005 The Conway Story's next single Ghostwriter will be released by IRL (Independent Records Ltd) on June 13th. Produced by Al Stone (Turin Breaks, Jamiroquai, Stereo MCs) it will be the last single before recording their debut album. They've received great support from XFM, Radio 1 regional sessions, Total Rock, Kerrang Radio and Music Choice along with some great single and live reviews from the press. Al Stone to Record New Material 12 March 2005 As the national tour draws to an end, The Conway Story are puting the finishing touches to new tracks before heading into the studio to record with Al Stone (Jamiroquai, Turin Breaks, Bjork). These sessions will produce their next single to be released in June. They have spent the last 6 months writing new material and have recently been recording with engineer/ producer Sean Genocky (Suede, Manic Street Preachers, Starsailor). The Conway Story Feature New Lineup 22 June 2004 The band have grown from a variety of musical cultures. The vocalist and guitarist Nik Owens is a home grown talent, based in London; Jimmy Kerr, guitar, developed his skills playing blues/rock in California; Russ Dyer spent several years honing his bass technique in Spain; while Lenin Alegria first picked up a drumstick in Chile.
